Christina was born and raised in Washington state, spending many summers with her family on Rainer. Christina’s father instilled in her a love and respect of the great Washington outdoors. As a young adult, she was inspired by him to join the ranks on Ft Lewis. Having been a 20 year veteran, her father exemplified a sense of duty and service to others.
Although her father was diagnosed with cancer in 2000, he remained a source of strength and adventure for Christina. When he lost his battle, she vowed to cultivate that same love of the mountains in her own child. Today, she enjoys many mommy-daughter hikes and climbs and plans to continue that tradition.
Raising funds for Seattle Children’s Hospital holds a special meaning for Christina because it reminds her of her father's struggle and the child that means the world to her. To be able to help others in need, while doing what she loves, would be the greatest opportunity to give back to her Washington community. All Women’s Rainier Climb
